Colorful and sumptuous, airy and silky, her patterns are modern and fresh. I love the hand of her stretch knits and stretch chiffon’s, which get harder and harder to find in such a low price point.
Recently I purchased 4 yards of her marbled Rayon Spandex Knit fabric in River Stone pictured here:
to make my FAVORITE wrap dress pattern M6884 seen below:
I did my usual modifications to the pattern by grading from the 8 to the 12 for the back yoke, adding a 2 inch band to the neckline and a curious concoction I like to call a “self-wrap” tie which consists of one extra long tie and a loop where the second tie would normally sit to act as an anchor.
I will have to post a short video clip because it is difficult to explain. I always make this dress into a TRUE wrap dress by omitting the directions to sew the side seams together for the front facing skirt.
I LOVE her spring/summer collection but the fall version is a bit lacking. The great part of living in Texas is you can wear lighter fabrics all year round. I full expect to wear some of her summer collection prints on vacation and might even whip up a robe next week.
Get into the some of her Look Book below and let me know what you think in the comment section. Have you sewn with any of her fabrics? If so how did your project turn out? Feel free to post your links below– I’d love to feature them in an updated post!
