All art is at once surface and symbol. Those who go beneath the surface do so at their peril. Those who read the symbol do so at their peril. It is the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors. Diversity of opinion about a work of art shows that the work is new, complex and vital.
Whelp, apparently I have a soft spot for Lucite and especially for Brass. The Johnathan Adler line of home furnishings featured the combo a few years back. Mitchel and Gold featured it. It’s been done a myriad of ways over and over. So why do I still love it? CAUSE ITS SO GORGEOUS! Duh
I purchased mine from Home Goods for the LOW low price of just $199. Mine is the combination of the square and circle mirror. Its an Isaac Mizrahi Home brand mirror.
Side note– I tried finding more info on the brand and it looks to be defunct at this juncture. Seemingly Macy’s and QVC carried the brand and in 2014 Thomasville released a collaboration with him as well.
The funny part is I’ve had it for over a week and haven’t cracked the box. It weighs a TON. A shit-TON. Beyond that I have no place to put it exactly. Delima… Delima.
Did I tell you about the mirror I got from the LetGo app? No? Oh, lol…. [see where I have a problem?] But I promise I’m going to sell it– I even have a buyer, humph!
